On February 19, 1940, a group of individuals came together at the University Club in Cincinnati to establish an organization dedicated to supporting children with cardiovascular disease. Upon receiving a $200 donation, this group of gracious citizens began writing a proposal that established the Children’s Heart Association (CHA). Nearly 70 years later, the Children’s Heart Association continues the effort to provide essential care to patients in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Indiana.
Children’s Heart Association is focused on providing cardiac health services through research, fellowship training, continuing education, and equipment funding. The patients served range from newborns to teenagers. Through diagnosis and follow-up care, CHA aims to improve the overall cardiac health of children living with heart disease.
